Reach your Mac anytime, anywhere with ease

Text and image messages

Send PNG, JPEG, GIF or WebP up to 10 MB. Tap any image to enlarge it. Ordinary images are kept for 30 days.

Spoken conversations

Use Dictate to edit a transcript before it sends, or Voice → Speak to talk. Pause and the turn sends itself; replies play in the phone's own voice.

Mac screen on request

Ask for a fresh snapshot of the main display. Nothing streams or records in the background, and each snapshot expires after ten minutes.

Invitations and notifications

Your Mac can invite you to a 90-second voice conversation. With Web Push enabled, a notification opens Pocket Link to answer.

Why Pocket Link?
Your Mac's companion

Voice, hands-free

Speak a turn, pause, and it sends. The reply plays back in the phone's synthetic voice, with no extra voice account.

Mac screen on demand

One tap captures the main display, only when you press it. Snapshots delete themselves after ten minutes.

Put Pocket Link on your iPhone

Add the web app to your Home Screen from Safari, or build the native SwiftUI app in Xcode for personal installation. Both talk to the same conversation.

Your Mac,
without
the desk

The server and your Claude/Codex agent both run on your Mac and start at login. Keep it awake and online, and every message you send from your phone lands right where your work already lives.

30minSingle-use pairing

Each QR link works once and expires after half an hour.

30daysSessions expire

Messages and media need a signed-in device, and sessions time out.

0writesRead-only sandbox

The companion conversation runs with a read-only sandbox on your Mac.

Encrypted in transit

Every hop between your iPhone and your Mac is encrypted

Messages, images, voice and screen snapshots travel inside TLS the whole way. They never cross the internet as plain text.

  1. Your iPhonePocket Link web app
  2. HTTPS · TLS 1.3
  3. CloudflareRoutes the connection
  4. Encrypted tunnel
  5. Your MacServer stays on 127.0.0.1
  • HTTPS only. Plain-HTTP visits are redirected, and browsers are told to use HTTPS every time.
  • Hashed secrets. Pairing codes and session tokens are stored only as SHA-256 hashes.
  • Locked-down cookie. The session cookie is Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite=Strict.
  • Private on disk. Messages and media sit in owner-only files on your Mac. Turn on FileVault to encrypt them at rest.

Not end-to-end encrypted yet. Cloudflare decrypts traffic at its edge to route it to your Mac, so treat pairing QR codes as private.
